Who we are:
Airmid was the Irish Celtic Goddess of Herbs and Healing to the Tuatha De Danann, Ireland’s magical ancient tribe.
Airmid is a family business based in Kilfenora in the Burren & Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark with all products handmade by Kevin Lynch. Kevin has suffered from severe eczema since birth and after their second son was born with eczema in 2009 they began looking for an alternative to commercial chemical products and began making chamomile soap which is gentle enough even for the most sensitive skin.

Kevin is an organic horticulturist and they already had a garden full of medicinal herbs grown by organic methods, and so they were soon hooked. Handmade soap is wonderful for your skin, because it contains the natural glycerin which occurs in the soap making process and leaves your skin silky smooth. Airmid only make by the traditional cold process method with minimal heat applied, keeping all the goodness of the ingredients in the final product. Airmid produce bar soaps, shaving soap and shampoo bars by traditional cold process methods. All bars are cut by hand and are cured for at least 6 weeks before sale to ensure a hard, high quality luxury product.
All branding is designed inhouse by Kevin’s partner, freelance graphic designer Tina Robinson Design.
The family lived on Valentia Island, Co Kerry during 2017-18 and the Airmid Natural Irish Skincare range was produced in the Dromid Gaeltacht, Waterville, with the support of Údarás na Gaeltachta, where they were proud members of the Original Kerry Craft Trail.
